Traditionally used by Tibetan monks, the high pitched tone created by striking the bowl dispels negative or stagnant energy and the beautiful tonal resonance created by running the mallet around the bowl aids the flow of energy throughout the body and energy centres, while helping to still and calm the mind.

How to play your bowl: Hold your bowl in an open palm and be sure to have as little surface contact between the bowl and skin as possible. Strike the bowl to create an initial vibration and sound and when you feel the time is right begin moving the mallet around the outer lip of the bowl at approximately 45 degree angle. Play with the pressure and speed, it is an intuitive instrument, there is no incorrect way to create beautiful mindful sound with your bowl.
