Traditionally used for centuries by South American healers in ritual and ceremony, Palo Santo, meaning “Holy Wood”, is known for its ability to purify, protect and energetically reset both person and space. It is a beautiful companion for meditation, intention setting and moments of quiet reconnection.

Ritual Use

Begin by setting a clear intention for your ritual, what you wish to release, and what you are ready to invite in.

Light one end of the stick using a candle, match or lighter, allowing it to burn briefly before gently blowing it out. The glowing embers will release a soft, fragrant smoke.

Move slowly through your space, guiding the smoke into corners, across thresholds and around your body or objects you wish to cleanse. For personal use, allow the smoke to move gently from feet to head, creating a sense of grounding and renewal.

Unlike sage, Palo Santo naturally extinguishes after a short time and may need to be relit throughout your ritual.

To cleanse crystals, simply allow the smoke to envelop them.

When complete, place the stick in a fireproof dish and allow the embers to fully extinguish.
